Well first of all, after I didn't call the police department today and get my ticket amount lowered from $168 to $98 and also have 60 days to pay it off. I went to grab the mail to get Logan's check out and put it in the bank so I could pay rent. AND I pulled out two envelopes from the US Treasury. I was wondering what the heck the other was since I knew the first was Logan's Social Security. Very confused I opened the envelope and it was a LARGE (at least by my standards) check ($6000). I couldn't figure out why they would be sending us a check at all. I then went to the other mail and found a letter from the IRS. Apparently they cleared up our 2005 tax return (that stems from the people who stole Vidal's identity) and this was our overpayment that year! YAY!!!!!!!! Though we're saving most of it for a rainy day or possibly someday part of the down payment to a house, we can now afford to get Vidal's car fixed preventatively since it is going downhill quick.
Logan has an appointment tomorrow with nephrology in Corpus. He has hit 9.5 before--9.58 to be exact--but unfortunately this morning he was 9.39. I'm hoping he will beat the odds and be 9.5 kg by tomorrow morning. But, it may just not be God's timing yet and I am trying to learn to pray and then do my best and then leave the rest up to God.
It is so hard to be patient when all I want is for my son to feel better. But, I know God has perfect timing since he knows so much more than we do. So, tomorrow I am going to not let myself be disappointed if this is not his month. He is still here with us and is a happy baby boy. Soon enough he will have a new kidney and feel great.
