Remembering....

Today I got on Mothering.com to the special needs area and the first post I saw was about a little girl who has died of cancer. Her birthday was the same day as Jaden's- 5/2/05. She would have been 4 very soon. Then I looked on Mckmama's blog and learned that while Stellan's heart is doing better, he is feeling awful.

I find it so odd how during all this turmoil in other's lives that the world keeps on going. People continue to do their jobs. Babies are born, people die and life goes on. But, in these people's lives--they are changed forever. We have had those life changing moments as well in our house and I know that life kept on while we felt like ours was paused. But, tonight I am going to say prayers for all these children and their familes and while I'm telling my children to "go to bed" for the hundredth time I am going to hug my children again and thank God that at least for now they are all somewhat healthy. Well, Logan is not what one would consider healthy but compared to others he is. His health is stable and that is what matters at this point. I am very thankful for all that we have and for our children being here with us. Every day is a miracle and to be celebrated.

I always considered Aidan healthy fr the most part. And I am always thankful that I have Aidan still... I know a few people who have sicker kids and kids thathave passed away. As for length for the kidney I am not sure. I know he just has to be big enough to hold an adult kidney. They really don't try to get your hopes up too much here until they start getting closer to that length. As for him not being able to have a cadaver kidney I understand, sorta, and I know that living donor kidneys last longer so I am hoping that Shawn or I match... Aidan I think is A+...I am A+ too. I am not sure they will take my kidneys though since I make some awesome stones every once in awhile.
How's Logan doing? I am glad he is growing...as for the kaexelate yeah it gives him diarreah it is supposed to. It actually is the potassium coming out of him. I was told they actually give it as an enema sometimes to lower potassium quickly. Aidan was on it from August until recentely now he is back on. I wish they made low potassium soy formula for him.
